Through initiatives like InnoJura Academy and the InnoJura Platform, Basel Area Business & Innovation helps SMEs connect with startups that bring new technologies, new solutions and agile methods. These partnerships allow SMEs to co-develop prototypes and access new skills, accelerating both competitiveness and sustainability.
Basel Area Business & Innovation does not provide direct funding to SMEs through the Level up programs. However, it helps companies identify suitable funding opportunities and partners — such as Innosuisse or cantonal innovation funds. This guidance helps SMEs increase their chances of securing public or private funding for innovation projects.
Companies gain access to personalized coaching, peer-learning opportunities, and innovative partnerships that reduce risk and expand market potential. Level-Up programs also help SMEs tap into public funding, R&D collaborations, and visibility across the Basel Area’s cross-border ecosystem — ensuring they stay ahead of evolving technologies and customer needs.
